Founded by Zion Lutheran Church in 2015, Grace Day provides back to school necessities and services with our mission of reducing the financial stress of area families in need. We put our hearts into helping anyone who comes to Grace Day with no requirements to receive services such as pre-registration or income qualification, which often become a barrier for those seeking support.
In 2018, Grace Day was transformed to become a collaborative partnership between five Jefferson County Lutheran congregations who wished to show their community the Love of Jesus Christ! Now called Jefferson County Lutheran Grace Day, Zion and her sister congregations are working annually providing everything from back to school haircuts, to backpacks, shoes, and physical examinations with over 1200 members of our community served annually.
Participating churches include Zion Lutheran Hillsboro, Immanuel Lutheran Festus/Crystal City, St. John's Lutheran Arnold, St. Paul's Lutheran Imperial, Cedar Hills Lutheran, and Zion Lutheran Pevely.
